From the City of Tyler:
Friends of artist Joe French will have the opportunity to extend their good wishes to him on banners available at Saturday’s opening reception for Gallery Main Street’s Light/Dark exhibit, which is set for 5:30 to 8 p.m.
“We will have paper banners printed with images of Joe here at the gallery,” said City of Tyler Main Street Department Leader Beverly Abell. “The public will be welcome to sign the banners, add personal messages and even include a drawing on the banner, which we know Joe will love,” she added.
Joe French was injured in December during a robbery in Honduras, where he was teaching English to local students. He has now been transported to a hospital in Texas and continues his recovery, according to news reports.
