This May 11, the Susan G. Komen Tyler Race for the Cure® will celebrate 15 years. The first Race in 1999 was co-chaired by Freda Harder and Debbie Peebles and the Honorary Chair was Dr. Sasha Vukelja. Other Race Co-Chairs include Jill DeShazo, Ellen Perice, Mary Ann Exum, Nancy Patterson, Laurie Humphries, Peggy Suggs, Shea Thomas., Tomi Ellis, Connie Greeberg, Kristin Goodman, Shelley Salvage, Denise Searcy, Jayme Fitzpatrick, Kelli Fitzpatrick Armstrong, Kristen McPherson, Brenda McBride and Cindy Nick. The following have served as honorary chairs: Betty Swann, Nancy Patterson, Joyce Greenberg, Peggy Suggs, The Honorable Louise Gohmert, Dr. Arielle Lee, Henry Bell, Mayor Barbara Bass, The Ramirez Family, Sheriff J.B. Smith, Honorable Leo and Dr. Louann Berman and The East Texas Food Bank.
