V.I.N. etching and H.E.A.T. registration

From the Tyler Police Department:

THURSDAY, April 11, 2013, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Hasting’s Shopping Center

4015 S. Broadway

The Tyler Police Department, East Texas Auto Theft Task Force will conduct a V.I.N etching and H.E.A.T registration on Thursday, April 11, 2013 in the Hasting’s parking lot located at 4015 S. Broadway, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

V.I.N etching and H.E.A.T. (help end auto theft) registration are two auto theft prevention methods that make vehicles less desirable to car thieves.

V.I.N. etching puts the vehicle’s unique identification number on all of the windows, making it harder to sell for parts.
